As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfort in and around open water with knowledge of safety considerations
Comfort in deep water and basic watercraft usage (surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam which includes a 550-meter open water swim and treading water without hands for 2 minutes
Experience working with or teaching children preferred
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred but not required
Minimum age of 18
